Chocolate Milkshake Day is September 12th, which means I’ve only got four days to plan for it! Just kidding, I’ll only need two.

Though the weather (in theory, anyway) is cooling down, that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a nice cold chocolaty treat. Think of it as a farewell to summer!
The delicious drink couldn’t be easier to make. Simply put some chocolate ice cream, some milk and some chocolate syrup in a blender, give it a whirl, and voila — instant snack or dessert.

Chocolate Avocado Milkshakes

I admit it, I totally want to try this! I love avocado, I love chocolate, but my biggest hurdle at the moment is that I don’t usually just keep avocados on hand so my own venture will have to wait until my next grocery day.
Anyway, I found the recipe (along with the picture above) on flickr, and if you try it out please let me know how it turns out!

National Chocolate Milkshake Day

It’s National Chocolate Milkshake Day! There are so many ways to make a good milkshake and you pretty much can’t go wrong. Here are a few that should have you busy for a few days!

Basic Chocolate Milkshake
Place 3/4 cup milk, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, 3 tbs chocolate syrup, 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream and 1 tsp sugar in a blender and mix until smooth.

Double Chocolate Malted
Place 1 cup cold milk, 2 tablespoon chocolate syrup, 1 tablespoon malted milk powder and 2 large scoops of chocolate ice cream in a blender and process on high until smooth and creamy.
