With the fall and winter holidays come a lot of fun ways to change up standard treats and desserts. This one for rocky road treats uses a fun assortment autumn and Halloween candies that would be great for a class or office party a teacher treat.

If peanuts are a no-go, you can substitue chopped pretzels or even Rice Krispies.
Rocky Road Halloween Treats
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
2 tbsp. butter
2 cup dry roasted peanuts
1 (10 1/2 oz.) package white mini marshmallows

This is something I was contemplating saving for my daughter’s birthday in May (she loves bugs and worms and dirt!) but I think I might just use it for Halloween too!
A “worm” cake would be a big hit at a Halloween party, or as a special treat for a kid’s classroom Halloween party. Using crushed Oreos, gummi worms, chocolate frosting and brownie mix.

Super Bowl Snacking: Chocolate Cake Balls

I’ve always wanted to make these but just haven’t gotten around to it. I’m not sure why since they couldn’t be easier, and the kids would have an absolute blast with them!
Reader Eileen sent me this link to a recipe for cake balls that I’ve printed out and set on my desk as a reminder. These will be great for a sweet snack for this weekend’s Super Bowl party, though I’d probably have to double or triple it because I have a feeling they’d be a big hit!
