I’m not a big fan of white chocolate, which is why I’ve tended to avoid the bags of Dove White Chocolate Bark in the candy aisle while doing my shopping. Though I was intrigued, I just wasn’t crazy about the thought of chunks of white chocolate.

However, Dove sent me some samples this past week and I’ll admit, I’m very glad they did! I hadn’t realized that it was white chocolate and dark chocolate, with bits of peppermint candy in the white chocolate half which provides a bit of a nice little crunch.

This is one of the easiest chocolate recipes around, and one of my newest inclusions into my little cookie tins I give to neighbors and friends!
White Chocolate Peppermint Bark
- Crushed peppermint candy canes or starlight peppermints, about 1 cup
- 2 pounds white chocolate
- Peppermint flavoring, optional
Place candy canes in a plastic bag and hammer into 1/4-inch chunks or smaller. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler. Combine candy cane chunks with chocolate (add peppermint flavoring at this point if desired.)
