It’s National Hot Fudge Sundae Day, which strikes me as only a little weird just because the middle of July is not the ideal time of year I think of when it comes to hot fudge! But I’m not complaining!

The making of the actual sundae is pretty fool proof: vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, cherries, chopped nuts, and hot fudge. And while it’s easy to grab a jar of fudge sauce from the store and warm it up in the microwave, why not make it yourself?

I could so go for an ice cream sundae today! We’ve had some rain which, sadly, doesn’t cool anything down, it just adds some humidity to the mix!
