		<description><![CDATA[It&#8217;s National Hot Fudge Sundae Day, which strikes me as only a little weird just because the middle of July is not the ideal time of year I think of when it comes to hot fudge! But I&#8217;m not complaining!

The making of the actual sundae is pretty fool proof: vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, cherries, chopped nuts, and hot fudge. And while it&#8217;s easy to grab a jar of fudge sauce from the store and warm it up in the microwave, why not make it yourself?

<p><strong>Hot Fudge Sauce</strong><br />

<p>2 c. white sugar<br />
1 c. brown sugar<br />
1 c. cocoa<br />
4 tbsp. flour<br />
1/4 c. butter<br />
1 1/2 c. water<br />
1/2 tsp. salt<br />
1/2 tsp. vanilla (added later)</p>
<p>In a saucepan &#8211; mix dry ingredients. Add butter and water. Bring to a boil, and continue boiling for 10 minutes, or slightly longer. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Serve over ice cream.</p>
