I’ve made chocolate chip waffles and pancakes for my kids so many times I would never have imagined a video online could have helped make it better. But the one below from MonkeySee gives a step by step process for making a sweet breakfast from scratch.
I usually like to add a little bit of brown sugar and a teaspoon or so of vanilla as well. It makes it a little more like a giant cookie, and the sugar helps it brown up a bit more too.

One of our weekend rituals is to have chocolate chip waffles on Saturday morning. They couldn’t be easier to make and the kids think they’re the best thing since actual chocolate chip cookies.
Start with your usual waffle recipe, whether it’s from a mix or from scratch it doesn’t matter, and add a little bit of vanilla extract when you’re adding your liquids.
