Chocolate Bytes

Tim Tams

My friend Coralie lives in Australia and recently came across some clever Tim Tams (”chocolate coated cookie with a creamy center”) packaging . She gave me permission to share her pictures:

They say “Hide Me,” “Enjoy Me,” “Love Me,” “Want Me.”

I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s a sad state of affairs that I have not yet had the chance to try Tim Tams since they’re not sold in the U.S., but there look to be a few sites that can ship them to you:

Australian Products Co ships out of San Jose, California and can get anything from chocolate to body care products. I think it says a lot that there are four Tim Tam products in their top ten bestsellers!

Everything Australian can also get you food items as well as boomerangs, clothing and toys.

Great Aussie Food specializes in just Australian food items like Tim Tams and Burger Rings. You can also enter to win an Arnotts Tim Tam Hamper worth $21.95.

Chocolate Serendipity gives a few examples of how Tim Tams can be enjoyed. Love and Cooking also provides a few tips as well as some amusing pictures.

Who would have thought such a seemingly simple item could inspire so much fun?

yes, indeed. a tim tam slam is wonderful thing. like a drug hit for non-drug takers. lol! :-D

there’s a theory that they contain an odd number of tim tams per packet (eleven) specifically so that you can’t share them evenly with a friend, thus requiring a packet each. lol! :-D

  3. Heather says:

    That’s a theory I can get behind! :D

Ooooh, I’ll have to head out tonight to see if our “regular chocolate store” has any. They actually do sell them sometimes!

I found TimTams in Canada the last time I was there at a local grocery store. Of course I had to buy a pack and they were yummy.

  6. Okay, now I’m craving chocolate big time and all I have is a tiny bag of M&Ms… which will do in a pinch.

**I just noticed that Heidi mentioned the fact that she found them in Canada! Maybe all is not lost afterall. I’m going exploring this afternoon!!

I’ve been looking for Tim Tams every since I saw the question, “Whats a Tim Tan slam?” I’ve looked at every World Market in northern Ca. with no luck. (I heard they carried them. Must be a rumor) Thanks for the ordering info. My first on-line order of the new year ;)
Happy New Year to you and yours!
