I’ve made chocolate chip waffles and pancakes for my kids so many times I would never have imagined a video online could have helped make it better. But the one below from MonkeySee gives a step by step process for making a sweet breakfast from scratch.
I usually like to add a little bit of brown sugar and a teaspoon or so of vanilla as well. It makes it a little more like a giant cookie, and the sugar helps it brown up a bit more too.

I’m really starting to look forward to fall lately. The dog days of summer seem to be dragging on and on and I can’t wait for things to cool, which unfortunately won’t be for another two months or so!

As the unofficial start of summer, it means hauling out the barbecue, whipping up batch after batch of fresh ice cream, working on the yard, spending time with family and friends, and endless hours in the sun. Most importantly, though, it means remembering and honoring those who have fought and died to give us these freedoms and happiness.
