You Must Eat Chocolate Every Day!

I bought a magazine at the grocery store the other day. That’s not a really strange thing to do, but I just rarely do it. Usually I read magazines that my friends have passed on to me. Its the budget conscious way to do it. Anyways, you might be asking what prompted me to splurge a whole $1.79 (plus tax) on a magazine. Well, it was the headline that got me. In big bold letters, it said Why You Need To Eat Chocolate Every Day!
I don’t really think I ever needed a reason for this before. I mean, I do eat chocolate most days, without anyone ever telling me I should. But it is great when someone tells you that something you always do is something you should always do.
Back to the magazine article. It stated that dark chocolate (my favorite kind) contains more flavonols per ounce than any fruit or vegetable. And the darker the chocolate, the better. What are flavonols? They are an antioxidant that helps your body regulate blood pressure, reduce the risk of blood clots and stroke, increase the “good” cholesterol, and improve blood flow.
Not that you probably needed any more reason for a daily dose of chocolate, but now you can feel even better about it.
