Immersion blenders…time for a replacement

I was so happy when I got my first immersion blender (aka hand blender or wand blender) about a year ago. I’m still happy with it, in theory. In practice though, the speed control button has already worn out. It’s not as if I use it five times a day…I don’t even use it every day, so I’m kind of bummed about it. I own a Hamilton Beach model, and the best thing about it is that it was inexpensive and worked well. But it’s not really inexpensive when it breaks this soon.
I decided that before I buy a new one, I should check up on the current reviews, and lucky for me Cook’s Illustrated has a recommendation in the November/December 2009 issue. Their top pick is the KitchenAid Hand Blender, which also happens to be quite a bit more expensive than mine. It has stainless steel construction which is more robust than mine, plus variable speeds and a nifty chopper bowl attachment. It’s about $100.
For comparison, I’m also looking at the SmartSticks and some other models by Cuisinart. They range in price from about $30 to about $50. I’ll let you know what I decide.

it’s right way but,That’s what a blender is. It is an appliance that will help you in crushing ice, preparing smoothies, blending soups and sauces. Blenders are also used for grinding food and mixing them together. There are also available blenders with 140W, 180W and 350W.
