Kitchen and household cleaners you can make yourself

I always plan to do this, and I never do.  Instead, I reach for the “Green” cleaning product at the grocery store.  What I really need to do instead is to save a few of my spray bottles and make my own.

The Consumer Reports home and garden blog has an excellent list of all the less toxic ingredients you’ll need to make your own kitchen and household cleaners.  It includes all the ones you know: baking soda, borax, castile soap, white vinegar, and the like.

The article also has a list of formulas that you can follow to mix up these ingredients and get to work on your house.  Make your own soft scrub, oven cleaner, sanitizers, and much more.
