Tandoor oven

I make Tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, and naan without the benefit of a tandoor, but I can’t help thinking that mine is never quite as good as what I get from our neighborhood Indian restaurant where they use an authentic clay oven called a tandoor. Maybe in my next kitchen…then again, with temperatures reaching 900 degrees, maybe not!
