Top rated electric griddles

When you buy an electric griddle, you want the cooking surface to heat quickly and evenly, to have lots and lots of room, and to clean up in a flash. According to Cook’s Illustrated, the top two griddles that fit these criteria are the BroilKing Professional Griddle and the West Bend Cool-Touch Griddle. Both are non-stick: the major difference is size and price. The BroilKing is larger, with a removable backsplash and a higher pricetag. The West Bend has a grease channel and is smaller, but is about half the price. You’ll have to decide what the deciding factor is based on the way you cook.

I am looking for a pancake griddle that isn’t “non stick” I have birds and can’t use anything “non stick”…Thank you
Hmmmm…all the griddles reviewed by Cook’s Illustrated are non-stick. What is the issue with birds and non-stick surfaces, Roberta? Is it something with the fumes?
non-stick cookware can kill birds seen here http://www.starlingtalk.com/warning.htm
Thanks for the link!
