AAA Says Travel Will Cost You More

It’ll cost you more today than it did yesterday.
That’s true about most things these days, and that includes travel.
The American Automobile Association’s annual Vacation Cost survey says that vacation and travel costs will increase by 5.4 percent over costs in 2005. Much of these increased costs are attributed to the rising costs of energy and labor.
The average daily cost for lodging and food (based on a family of two adults and two children) is $261. Hawaii is the most expensive state ($559 day), North Dakota and Nebraska the least ($191).
I’m not sure that I’ll be planning a trip to Nebraska over Hawaii, but you may want to read the entire article at AAA Newsroom before making your vacation plans.
