Avoid Airport Delays

avoiddelays.gifHave you ever checked with an airline about a flight delay, only to eventually find out that what you were told really wasn’t the whole story?

If so, you’re in very good company.  But how can you prevent getting sucked into that belief again?

There are a variety of sites that offer independent flight arrival and departure information, and I’ve written before about the importance of flight tracking.  Now, a new site enters the picture, this one from the Air Traffic Controllers ““ the people who really know where the airplanes are ““ and aptly titled, Avoid Delays.

Do you want to check on a particular flight before leaving to the airport to pick up friends?  You’ll find that information available.

Are you planning a flight with that requires a connection and wondering if the ground time is adequate?  The site gives information about the airports with the worst delays, and the time of day for those delays, along with suggested connection times.

There’s a full listing of most delayed departure airports, most delayed arrival airports, and the specific flights most often delayed.

Very interesting reading.
