Busy Travel Season Looms Ahead – Take the Poll

We are at the beginning of the busy travel time of year. First, the Thanksgiving holiday (in the U.S.), followed quickly by the Christmas/Hanukah/Kwanzaa season.
Will you be traveling this year during the holidays?
Please weigh in by taking the poll in the far right side bar.

It might also be interesting to have a poll as to how people are traveling: car, plane, train, boat, submarine, camel, etc.
I am one of the ‘no’s on the poll. Unh-uh. No way. Do I look like a crazy person to you?
Actually, travel MAKES me crazy. Air travel, anyway. The lines. The restrictions. The hours of wasted time. The teeny tiny little thought in the back of my brain telling me there is a very slight chance the plane could crash for one reason or another and we could all die.
Give me a road trip any day.
I’m also in the “no” category.
Air travel is restricted to business only. When I get away with my husband, it’s to any destination accessible by car.
The entire airline travel system has made flying messy and stressful. I can understand the reasons. At the same time, the whole process is too much of a burden.
I’m glad that my relatives are just blocks away.
I certainly understand, Sheila and Laughing Chow. Although I traveled last weekend, I’m staying home over the holiday weekend. I always try to have vacation over the Thanksgiving holiday, and then I can avoid airports altogether — as a passenger or an employee.
