During this October, as I did last year, I’ll be featuring Halloween events from around the world. Halloween is one of those quirky holidays, and it’s kind of fun to see what different communities do with the theme.
Let’s not get hung up on whether it’s a harvest festival, a pagan holiday, or if it even has any religious overtones or undertones at all. Let’s just decide that it’s meant to be fun!
Here are a few of my favorites celebrations from last year:
- Halloween in Salem, Massachusetts
- Get Lost in a Halloween Corn Maze
- Halloween West Hollywood Style
- Spend Halloween in Prison, “Terror Behind the Walls”
- Dia de la Muerta (Day of the Dead)
If you know about a fun celebration in your area of the world, please let me know about it. I’ll be talking about the most interesting and unique ones throughout the month of October.

I’m desperately searching for Halloween activities here in Bangkok… I’ll let you know if I find anything good! -X
Thanks for stopping by Xander, and I’ll be sure to let you know what I discover. If you discover anything, I hope you’ll come back and share with all of us as well.
