Charge Your Cell Phone Using AA Batteries

I’m not sure if this product is just one more gadget to worry about, or if it’s a useful travel tool:
Energizer (the battery people) has come out with a line of portable chargers powered by AA batteries, called the Energi To Go. It priced at about $20.
Currently the charger is available for cell phones, with versions for other electronic items to be rolled out soon.
I’m wondering . . . .
If I can’t remember to charge my cell phone, or take my a/c adapter with me ““ will I remember to take the Energi with me when I travel? Will I remember to make sure that it gets home with me? Will I remember to buy new batteries so that it actually works?
I’m not sure. What do you think?

I agree, if you would forget the AC adapter, then you’d likely forget this. The only time I’d see it as useful would be if you are going to go someplace where there is no electricity and you plan to use your phone a lot there. But, if you are really that far from civilization, there wouldn’t likely be cell towers available, either.
I think that it would make a great Christmas present for each of my kids. Hopefully, they would remember to use it.
As they get older, it’s getting harder and harder to find things for them. This seems like a good idea.
I keep tools like this IN my travel bag and NEVER take them out. So there is no way I can forget them.
Smart move, Steve!
