Welcome to the December 7, 2007 edition of the Carnival of Travelers

This month’s travel theme was Music, and I hope you’ll enjoying reading about what are intrepid travelers have to say on the topic:

Sheila Scarborough presents Round the world, with music posted at Perceptive Travel Blog, saying, “Some thoughts on finding world music online.”  After reading Sheila’s post I added a bunch of downloads to my iPod.

Susan Johnston presents Stumps, Boards & Gourds posted at Go Blue Ridge Travel Blog.  Learn all about beautiful music and beautiful musical instruments.

Wendy presents Salsa Old San Juan Puerto Rico posted at Escape From New York, saying, “The rhythms of Salsa music are the heartbeat of many Latin countries.”  How can anyone stay seated when there is salsa music around?

Christine presents Being Frugal in France: Buying Cheap Theatre, Opera and Dance Tickets posted at Me, My Kid and Life: An American Single Mom Living in France, saying, “Enjoying France on the cheap! It’s not always necessary to spend a bundle. Sometimes we just need to know our options. Saving big on theatre, opera and dance tickets in France in an option!”  Cheap tickets are always a welcome to the budget.

Susan presents The Broadway Strike and Unexpected Travel Interruptions posted at The Innovative Traveler, saying, “The Broadway strike, crushed tourists, and doing more than protecting yourself financially against travel interruptions.”   But the music of the theater is now back.

Maria Fernandez presents Learn a foreign language – blog: Serrat – songs and lyrics posted at Learn a foreign language – blog, saying, “Video and lyrics of the Spanish song ‘Mediterráneo’. This song has been officially chosen as the most important Spanish pop song of the 20th century in Spain.”   Take a listen to this Spanish top pop.

Mary Jo Manzanares presents Symphony Holiday Events posted at The Seattle Traveler, saying, “Lot’s of good offerings from the Seattle Symphony this time of year.”

Mary Jo Manzanares presents The Beat Goes On posted at Flyaway Cafe, saying, “The music and literature of the beat generation.”

That concludes this edition of the Carnival of Travelers, and I want to extend a very big thank you to all participants.  I enjoyed reading your posts immensely, and know that others will as well.
