One Reason to Ask for a Window Seat

Sometime it’s nice to have a window seat!
On a recent flight I was able to snap this photo of Mount Hood through the very dirty windows of the plane.
Mount Hood is located in Oregon, and is part of the Cascade Range. It’s a little over 11,000 feet tall, and is very popular with skiers.

Very nice. My airplane photos never come out that nice looking.
This is great. I am hit-and-miss with photos from airplanes, although this one from an easyJet plane window came out pretty well.
The first time I saw the real beauty you can find from the air was flying from Copenhagen to Chicago over Greenland and the mountain ranges were clearly visible under a dark blue sky.
Hello HR –
I’ve taken lots of really bad photos through an airplane window.
Sometimes it’s the lighting, sometimes it’s the window and weather, and sometimes it’s me! I love it when they turn out, though, and it makes me love flying all over again.
Hello Jack –
Love the photo! And enjoyed looking around the rest of your site, too. Good stuff!
I love love love flying out over the Cascades. I’m an aisle seat person, it keeps me sane, but yes, the views are often super wonderful when our skies are clear.
Nice picture. Nice day. You are lucky!
