Never one to pass by an excuse for a celebration, today also gives you another shot at making some more resolutions.
And it’s a very big welcome to Lunar Year 4047, the Year of the Ox.
In the Chinese Zodiac, the Ox is the sign of prosperity through fortitude and hard work. Sounds like a pretty good description of what this coming year has in store.
Happy Year of the Ox!

Oh to be a Mummer, now that New Year’s is almost here!
This is the 103rd year for Philadelphia’s New Year’s Day Mummers Parade, and this is one of those festivities that sound like so much fun. I’m hoping that a few of my Philly readers chime in here and let me know if it’s as much fun as it sounds. (Kelly? Caroline? Anyone?)
