New Airline Fee: Holiday Surcharge

Bag charges. Fuel surcharges. Airport fees. Fees for premium seats in the cabin. Fees for overweight bags. Fees for security charges. Fees for food, pillows and blankets, and other inflight amenities. And we haven’t even gotten to the taxes yet. Is it any wonder that what starts out as an inexpensive airline ticket quickly creeps up to a pretty expensive charge?

Delta’s Gogo Wi-Fi Connection.

I’m flying at about 30,000 feet as I make my way from Seattle to Atlanta on a Delta Airlines flight. Since they now boast wi-fi on all their domestic flights, I was excited to give it a try – maybe even provide a little live-blogging from the stratosphere.

Airline Merger Mania

It’s long been talked, but could it actually be happening? Are we destined to consolidate down to only one or two airlines?
We could be on our way to that point if these merger rumors are true –
Delta & Northwest?
Continental & United?
Say it isn’t so. Less competition instead of more? This cannot be good for consumers.
