Snow is still on the ground here in Seattle, and while it’s been sunny outside, it is still miserably cold.
I’ve been spending lots of time thinking about my flying schedule and trying to figure out how to get some place a little warmer. It may be time for a few day get away to Palm Springs.
Palm Springs will be crowded next week, with lots of people in town for the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic (a celebrity pro-am golf tournament) hosted by comedian/actor George Lopez. The tournament runs from January 17-21st.

It’s always good when it’s about the shopping, even better when it’s about the food. And when you can combine those interests together, you just know good things have to happen.
That’s what you can do on a visit to the Upper Crust Cooking Company in Palm Desert, California.

Pampering at Palm Desert’s Bighorn Spa

Nothing says “pampering” more than a spa visit.
I’ve been fortunate to experience a variety of day spas, in addition to the weeklong pamper-fest of a more structured spa. I now know that heaven has a massage table and a pedicure chair!

Palm Springs, over the past decade has changed its image. No longer just the haven for the retired, blue-haired, geriatric but still golfing, set, the area has broadened its appeal to all ages and all types of families. The city is courting meeting planners, trying to convince them that it is the ideal spot for convention and conference attendees. So far, it seems to be working.
