Today I join with some of my fellow travel bloggers in Photo Friday, a day to celebrate the photographic side of traveling.
Whether our photos are professional quality, or merely serve as a memory of a wonderful adventure, photos have become an increasingly important part of travel. And in the era of so many digital options, from cameras to online storage to editing software and more, there’s no reason for it to be a complicated process. Walking the Ruins at Pompeii

I’m still traveling, and wanted to share another photo from the road. This one is of the ruins at Pompeii. It was a warm day, and I spent hours wandering the ruins and marveling at this ancient civilization. There’ll be more about this fascinating place in a later post.

Time to Head Off to Amalfi Coast

Today I’m headed down to the Amalfi Coast, where I’ll be staying for a week. I plan to spend some time wandering the streets and hills of Sorrento and Positano, going over to Capri, and checking out the ruins of Pompeii.
Let’s hope Mt. Vesuvius won’t be erupting while I’m there –
