The American Institute of Architects announced the results of its annual poll and named the top 150 favorite structures across the United States.
Here are the Top Ten on the list:
Empire State Building
The White House
Washington National Cathedral
Thomas Jefferson Memorial
Golden Gate Bridge
U.S. Capitol
Lincoln Memorial
Biltmore Estates
Chrysler Building
Vietnam Veterans Memorial
As I browsed through the list, I noticed that although I have visited 59 of the buildings on the list, I have only written about a handful. NYC Holiday Window Displays

A holiday shopping excursion in New York City is not complete without checking out the decorated windows. I spent one Christmas Eve on a layover in the city, and enjoyed a trip to look at all the beautiful lights and decorations. It made being away from home on a holiday a little less depressing.

Drive-In Movies at Rockefeller Center

If you’re going to be in Manhattan next week, June 6th-9th, it might be a good time to go the movies.
Drive-In Movies returns to Rockefeller Center as the summer season of events gets underway.
The Plaza is turned into an outdoor movie festival for four days of independent film screenings. This years selection: I want Someone to Eat Cheese With, Air Guitar Nation, Once in a Lifetime, and Kettle of Fish.
Admission is free, but get there early.

Bordered on the north by 51st, to the south by 47th, to the east by Fifth Avenue and to the West by Seventh Avenue, Rockefeller Center occupies prime real estate in midtown Manhattan.
A mix of indoor and outdoor facilities, Rock Center is home to Radio City Music Hall, the GE Building, NBC Studios and the Today Show studios. It features over 100 shops and over 40 dining options.
