We all have men in our lives. Fathers and sons. Husbands, lovers, boyfriends, neighbors, co-workers, and friends. We love them, we hate them, we bond with them. For those of us who are female, we’ll never understand them if we live to be 100. If we are male, we can’t understand what all the fuss and confusion is about.
Today’s b5media Travel & Culture theme day is all about the men who make a difference in our lives. Hats off to you guys, this theme day’s for you!
Here’s what our bloggers had to say:
Alex at Sirened writes about a man in the lives of all U.S. citizens, Vice President Dick Cheney, in his post The Secrets Men Keep. Oh yeah, and a little bit of President Bush thrown in for good measure.
Matt at The Chicago Traveler writes about a bikini bar in Crabbby Kim’s. No, that’s not a typo — there are really three “b’s” in it. Just think of them as standing for beer, babes, and bikinis.
SP at Southern Byways suggests a way to keep men happy while traveling by car in Ice Cubes Made in Your Car. With a few other accoutrements, you’ll never need to stop during your cross-country trip.
Lynn at The Paris Traveler gives us a little peek into French Men. Are they truths, myths, or urban legend. Lynn will help you discover the answers for yourself.
Maricar at Filipina Soul takes us from Europe to Asia and gives us a peek into her Favorite Filipino Men. The list includes an artist, social activist, musician, historian, and entertainer.
Jon at The DC Traveler gives us a suggestion on what to do if you’re the adventurous type, or a possible gift to give, in Soar Like a Bird — Try Hang Gliding. Any takers?
Ruth at Let’s Visit Asia kept with the adventurous theme, writing about Formula One in Singapore. Now that she’s moving back to Singapore, she can experience the racing first hand.
Melissa at Europe String extols the joys of relaxation with Turkish Bath for the Men. Ahhhhh, I can feel all the knots and stress easing out of my body just reading about it.
At The Seattle Traveler, I wrote that real guys love cooking in Former Seattle Oceanaire Chef on Season 3 of Top Chef. Although making a poor showing on the first episode, Brian subsequently redeemed himself.
And finally, here at Flyaway Cafe, I wrote about attorney Nathan Sawaya in LEGO Art on Display at Discovery Center Museum. He shucked the suits of the legal business to play and create art with LEGO building blocks.

You all might want to take this opportunity to catch up with some of the guys you haven’t seen in a while – I’m sure many of them would love to hear from you.
