Gene Genie is in London

Gene Genie and I are in the same town this weekend. While Genie is over at Neurophilosophy, I just returned to London this morning from my annual trip to the San Francisco Bay Area to visit family and friends. The trip was totally satisfying and I also had the good fortune to hook up with some brilliant people who are as intense about genetics as I am, including 23andMe, Lisa Lee at DNA Direct (along with some serious IM chats with Jason Bobe), and Thomas Goetz at Wired. Silicon Valley feels like the center of the world. I can’t believe I moved away 13 years ago never to return (well, never say never 
).
By the way, for a giggle read this: DNA Proves Winehouse is Shergar. I had no idea if Amy Winehouse sounded like a horse or not until I saw this video:
