Lots of carnival fun this week with today’s Tangled Bank #75 hosted at Living the Scientific Life (Scientist, Interrupted). GrrlScientist has, as always, done a fabulous job organizing the entries and also shares my grief at being locked out of EurekAlert!’s exclusive access section for being “just a blogger.” Thank you for commiserating and bringing more attention to the matter! It all seems rather daft when (as Matt Sparkes of New Scientist pointed out to me yesterday) bloggers are being permitted to embed with the American military in Iraq.
Moving on to genetics (you were wondering when I was going to get back to the genetics, genes, and DNA, weren’t you?), here are two posts from Tangled Bank worthy of mention.

Regan Kelly at Let’s Get Personal summarizes the scientific issues facing personalized medicine. Reagan is a bioinformatics PhD candidate at the University of Medicine and will undoutedly have have a wealth of knowledge on genetically-tailored personalized medicine.

Jeremy at Another Blasted Weblog expresses his STRONG opinion on genetically modified food. You might be surprised at where he stands on the issue. There’s also more about GM food here at Genetics and Health.
