Hankering for Yarn

Another Tibetan Vest from Folkwear patterns

When I was trying to find the pics of the Tibetan Vest that I wove, I found this one. It’s of my darlin’ kitty Minnie, who died suddenly last summer.

She loved looms and weaving. Warping was always slightly more challenging when Minnie was assisting. Oh, how I miss my weavie cat!

I live in this Tibetan vest in the winter. We keep our house very cool, and wearing layers is essential. I used vintage ribbons on some of the panels.

On the back, I embroidered running rabbits, using punch needle embroidery.

I love Folkwear patterns. Jim and I were married wearing Folkwear designs, and we’lll be wearing Folkwear when our daughter and son get married over these next 2 summers!

I am so happy that the Folkwear people have flourished!

Their website is: www.folkwear.com

Okay, back to my weaving……

hugs all round
