Bucilla crochet hooks?

Just got a comment posted from a guy who’s broken his wife’s fave crochet hook….
ooooooooooh that’s baaaaaaaaaaaaad!
I hauled out as many of my steel hooks as I could quickly lay my hands on….
And couldn’t find a single ‘Bucilla #3′ among them.
That’s the hook he broke…. (what were you doing? enquiring minds want to know!)
I googled on Bucilla crochet hooks and didn’t get much happiness.
He’s offering a $10 reward, which I think is a touch light…
Can anybody help him out?
Of course, there’s always eBay…..
I was sure I had one, but all I have are Boye. Is he sure it was Bucilla?
I agree with Cindy I havent seen Bucilla hooks in the store. Yes What has he doing to break a steel crochet hook???
I have checked my collection and no Bucilla either…
No Bucilla, but lots of Boye & Bates. I’ve never broken one, but I’ve bent one of my smaller hooks. I don’t remember what I was doing with it, but I think I tried to use it as a screw driver.
I looked through all of mine, and there are a bunch of Boye, Susan Bates, tons of Milwards, Roma, Flora,Morral’s, JMRA’S, some with names worn off, and some that look to be cheap and cheerful new no-names.
No Bucilla…… now I am intrigued… I will be looking for Bucilla hooks from now on!

I told my husband about the posting about the broken crochet hook, and he shuddered, and asked:
WHAT was he doing? Trying to open a paint can with it?
We are SERIOUS tool afficianados in this house and mis-using or abusing a tool, ANY tool, including and ESPECIALLY a treasured crochet hook, is cause for serious chastizement!
