Buzz about the Olympics on the Lifestyles channel of b5 media

The lifestyles channel has been buzzing about the Olympics…. (weren’t the Opening ceremonies gorgeous?
But, the motto: ‘One world, one way’, gives me the creeps. Um… what about diversity, or celebrations of the broad spectrum of the human experience? Being Canadian means I am steeped in a culture that values multi-culturalism and tolerance.
‘One World, One Way’ just sounds too Orwellian to me…. smacks a little of totalitarianism, doesn’t it?)
Anyhow…. like I said before, there’s lots of chat about the Olympics on b5 media -
Here’s what some of my fellow Lifestyles bloggers have been up to:
Michelle at “Dating Dames,” takes a look at getting married on 08:08:08
Tracey at “Foodie Obsessed,” wonders How safe is the food in China?
Elizabeth at “Gen Between,”wrote about Gary Hall Jr’s Olympic performance despite having diabetes
Here on “Hankering for Yarn,” I posted about Crocheting during the Olympics
Christine at the “Mad Cropper,” is Scrapbooking during the Olympics
Marcie at “One Book, Two Books,” suggests Olympic Games for Young Readers and a look back at Pearl Buck and the Olympics
Christine at “Our One Heart,” writes about couples getting married on 8:08:08

Thank you for mentioning me.
We are so enjoying the beginning of the Olympics, here, at my house. The kids were so excited and the girls stayed up to see each and every team go by. Very cool.
Hi Michelle
)
I just wish they’d show the equestrian events! sigh…..
Noreen, Thanks for the mention:) The equestrian events would be my favorite too, I would think they would be popular enough to broadcast:P
You’re welcome, Linette!
Yep… so far, I haven’t seen anything that even remotely resembles a horse at the Olympics… LOL
Ah well….
Thanks for the shout out
