Contest- Win a handmade Crochet Hook

I carved this crochet hook (one of our ‘Gulliver Crochet Hooks’) specially as a thank you to my blog readers.
He’s an 8 mm (size ‘L’) hook, and is approx. 5 1/2 inches tall, not including his hat. His hat works as a hanger, so he doubles as an ornament too. Right now, he’s hanging beside my computer, grinning at me.
when you click on www.hankeringforyarn.com
and scroll down, you can see the process that I went through to carve the Snowman crochet hook and spool knit his hat and scarf.
Here are the rules:
1] The winner will pay the postage to ship the Snowman hook. It’ll be $6.50.
2] Who can enter: Anyone, including my friends, relations, people I work with, readers,~anybody~. My son in law figured out a neat way of printing out people’s names so that will make it fair at the draw.
3] When does the contest begin? One minute after midnight on Dec 1, 2007.
4] When does the contest end? Christmas night after we finish dinner.
5] How do you enter? Leave a comment on THIS entry. That way, you’ll be sure that your name makes it into the basket.
6] How many times can you enter? As often as you wish. More comments left on this entry (scroll down to the bottom of the entry), equals more chances to win.
7] I am going to be hanging this little darling on our Christmas tree, so he’s going to be a cherished little ornament from now until Christmas. And, after that, he can come and live in your house…..
Good luck!
and happy holidays!
hugs all round, Noreen
By the way: People have been writing to me, asking me if I make other crochet hooks. Yes indeed.
They also ask if I sell them. yup.

PS: You have to see the ‘Snowbaby’ crochet hook that I have carved….. click on Snowbaby

This little snowman could be a snowgirl, maybe. It’s hard for non-snowpeople to tell, except up close – like I hope to be with this one!
increasing my chances for this cutie. /;)

Well, the time is growing shorter and I am in to wait,
This little snowman fellow must be looking really great,
He must be shining greatly
upon the Christmas tree
and looking forward to the dinner that will decide his fate.
His journey he will enjoy after all the festivities are over
and will settle in wherever home will be.
Hi Noreen,
I do not know what it is, but I do not seem to be able to sit down and think of this hook without going into rhyming mode, which I really have never done before, not like this anyway.
there seems to be something that spurs me on and I believe it is your own artistry, I feel it as I browse your site.
Have a wonderful day!

Hi Noreen–love your trees & Tottie’s. Our son’s been in the hosp since last Wed so our holiday is a bit strange, but we’re celebrating with him in groups–tonight 7 relatives & their SOs did stocking presents at the hospital.
Pls enter me for the snowman hook–it would lift my spirits. Leslie
Happy Holidays,noreen!

Hope Mr. Snowman has had a grandtime overlooking all the excitment that has been going on at his house. Maybe now he’d like to see other homes and see how they celebrate. Thanks for the lovely job and contest.
