Dog chomps dog

I have been working on carving a crochet hook in the shape of a dog.
I had gotten it to this point ….
and needed to check out my puppy carving against the real thing..
I called the dogs over, and held it up close to the little guy, to check proportions……
He thought that this was interesting….
and …………. S N AP ! ! ! ! ! !!
Gimmee dat! Chomp!
A brief tug of war ensued,

but luckily, Jim was in the studio and was able to grab a handful of cat food. He tossed it across the floor and the small fierce fellow released the hook!
He left the imprint of his teeth on it.
Actually, I was amazed that my camera was able to catch the whole thing, as it happened fairly quickly. Sure glad Jim was there to rescue the small wooden dog hook from the small growling dog teeth!
Ahem. I didn’t hold it up for his inspection again!
I set to work and several hours later, the hook was finished.

Loved the pictures of dog chomps dog!

Lol! Thanks, Wendy!
I am glad that I had my camera pointed at him while it all happened! I was laughing so hard at first that I am amazed it didn’t come out all blurry….. and then, when the tug o war started, I got alarmed….
I had put too much work into the hook to risk him chewing the daylights out of it!
