Hankering for Yarn

Fanciful Flat Fiber Friends Doll Hair

Liz had a great idea!

She suggested that I start a group on Ravelry so we can post pics of our Fanciful Flat Fiber Friends Dolls as they start getting oh so fashionable-  it will be fun to see pics of the fashions that people create (I’ll start posting patterns tomorrow)

AND! I want to see the adventures that the Fanciful Flat Fiber Friends Dolls have!

Who knows where they might go and what they will see!

Great idea, Liz! Thank you!
I have created a group on Ravelry:

and a Flickr group:

After I got the  icons and banners and badges and logos made for the groups, I got back to work on my FFFFDoll -

and
have made the hair for Flora… my personal Fanciful Flat Fiber Friends Doll.

Here’s how I made her hair:

I wrapped 8 yards of embroidery floss around a 2 inch wide post it note.

I cut the loops open, and tied around the center of them.

I spread some thick glue around the outside edge and across the back of the head

I pushed the embroidery floss into the glue.

Pull some strands forward and trim them off.  Glue the snipped off ends to the forehead to complete the bangs:

I couldn’t make up my mind about Flora’s undies, so for now,  I just painted them white.

I think I’ll make some lace for them later.

After Flora was happy with her new hairdo, she  looked out the window:

and decided to go see how the apple tree was doing:

Not everyone has an interest in doing woodwork, (a friend asked me if I would make some of the Fanciful Flat Fiber Friend Dolls) so if you’d rather have a ready made one, you can go to my website and order one.

Stay tuned…. I’ve been busy designing some very fun clothes and accessories for the Fanciful Flat Fiber Friend Dolls….
