Finished – First March Project Spectrum – Pink Fuzzy Scarf

I love finishing projects. I love starting them more, but it is great to have another one out of the WIP category. I had two projects planned for March’s Project Spectrum. I haven’t received the yarn for the second, but I just finished the first.
The colors this month are pink and/or pink. I just finished the pink fuzzy scarf that I posted about earlier this month. It took very little time – a few hours or so? It was a lot of fun and I have enjoyed wearing it.
I am happy to report that the Walmart brands of yarns I chose, worked up very nicely. I had no problems with them and I would have to say they compare quite nicely with the brand names at double the price. Only time will tell how they hold up over the long haul, but so far I am pleased.
I took some photos of the finished project. It is simply a garter stitch scarf – these two strands on size 17 needles. I fringed it with the nubby yarn.
Now I have to be patient and wait for the red yarn – I have plans for a hat and scarf for that yarn.
It isn’t too late to begin Project Spectrum. You could do a quick project for March or begin in April. The colors are wonderful and with this long and cold winter, it is a real pleasure to work with bright uplifting and colorful yarns.

Check out what others are saying about this post...[...] I joined Project Spectrum, which if you read last month, was a lot of fun. Each month, there is a different color to focus on for a knitting project. March was red and/or pink. I made a knitted scarf in pink. April is orange and/or yellow and I’ll post that as soon as my yarn gets here. At any rate, Project Spectrum is about more than knitting; there is also a postcard swap for those who choose to get involved. I did and my “swapee” is one fantastic person and I want to introduce you to this knitter, designer, and all around fun lady. [...]
