High Fiber but not yarn….

Totally off topic here…..
Wellness is on my mind. Today, we were at the memorial for a friend who passed away last week, (waaaaaaaaaaay too young….) and I’m feeling sad.
Anyhow… yesterday, we saw a neat report on telly about Salba, which is chia (yep those green ‘pets’) grain.
It’s full of all kinds of healthy goodness, and the science on it is very hopeful. We had to stop at the health store to buy glucosomine for our horse (baby rescue horse we adopted last summer- has joint issues) and there was a package of Salba.
We bought it, and tried it at supper. It’s very neutral, so it’s not like choking down some things that are oh so good for you, but give you the gleebleblot when you’re trying desperately to swallow it.
And then, right after supper, I got an email from a dear friend who had just read up on Salba and had bought some today too… her husband, a doctor, is very skeptical about most ‘healthy’ stuff. He says the research is good science, and he’s impressed.
She sent me the link to a blog that has more links about Salba.
It sounds good to me.
Here’s to good health, wholeness and all good things!
