Hankering for Yarn

Jazz Music on airplanes and iPod contest

Jim, my wunnerful husband, is a fab jazz musician. He now plays most of his gigs, while wearing the kilt I made him for our son’s wedding.

(Because I ask him to, because he looks so sexy in it, that’s why).

(and nope, he doesn’t play Celtic, even though he ~is~ Celtic).

I love ~a lot~, but not all, jazz.  (Some of it sends me screaming from the room).

When I was flying home from the Knit and Crochet show, and was exhausted beyond belief, I couldn’t fathom watching any of the onboard movies.  I was so pleased to discover that there is a music channel on the airplane, and it offered a jazz thread. Most of the musicians didn’t appeal to me, but I was sure happy to find a whole lot of Bill Evans tunes.  When I am homesick, music really hits the spot.  It helps me feel that much more at home.

So, when b5 announced that they were starting a music channel, I raced right over to the
Jazz blog

and I HIGHLY recommend it!  Bryan is doing a great job with the blog.

Oh! one more thing! the music contest is still happening at b5, so if you want to win an iPod (I’d love to….) the posting is here:  iPod contest

hugs all round
