Hankering for Yarn

Knitting bags-11

These folding knitting bags oughta be called: ‘Humility Bags’ or ‘Hubris Bags’.

I am so used to being able to figure things out, that I just assume that I can make something. No problemo.

Just a simple little knitting bag, right?

As I said in my last posting:

H   A  H ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Jim said he’d whip out to the workshop and make the next frame for the second one. Bless his heart…..
Even Jim, the most even tempered, cleverest and easy going-est  guy I’ve ever met was taken aback by the wooden part of the Humility  Folding Knitting bag!

I did the woodworking and fussing, fiddling and figuring for the first one, and had a blast doing it.

BUT…..

He was shocked by the twiddlie and omygawd-ish-ness of figuring out all the ‘this gets drilled here’ and ‘that gets turned and notched there’ nonsense of the frame!

I asked him to make a really good: ‘This is NUTS face’ for me

Pretty good, eh?

Whodathunkit…. it looked so easy….

BUT! once we break the code on these suckers, then we’ll be well and away.

Right?  right?

I need a cuppa tea.

It’s you being silly, my darling. Bless you for being able to be a big silly, as well as being just generally poifeck.
