I have been thinking about doing some postings on my favorite things. Synchronicity rules! This morning, Hsien posted about some of her favorite tools: Glue Spreaders
She asked what other people’s favorite tools are, which inspired me to post a few of my most beloved tools.
Two of my biggest fibre passions are spoolknitting and potholder loom weaving. Because of this, my husband, Jim and I have built ourselves a business, making one of a kind, whimsical, magical spoolknitters and potholder looms (among other things).
A few months back, I was working on a shawl, and one thing lead to another, and soon, the Cordelia cordmakers blossomed! I am absolutely CRAZY about these little 2 prong cordmakers and am designing all kinds of wonderful things with them:

If you click on Cordelia
hopefully it will take you to our website so you can see more of the adorable Cordelias!
I will be uploading some projects for cords to the blog in the next little while.
I am a spoolknitting fanatic. I have a blog about spoolknitting, and now a yahoo group, as well (which you are welcome to join!)
Jim and I make all kinds of different spoolies, but if you were to ask me which spoolie was my dropdead favorite, it would be the Mighty Mamma

with tall pegs. I love working with the large size spoolies, and have made all kinds of neat things with the Mighty Mammas. And have a lifetime’s worth of projects planned for them!
If you scroll through the sidebar categories, you’ll see all kinds of projects listed for them.
I still love small spoolies, but these are just my favorites!
And, my beloved potholder loom! The potholder loom is such a simple, humble little loom, and yet the design potential is absolutely unlimited. I have written a series of books on making everything from teddy bears, soft toys and dolls with the potholder loom!
You can see all kinds of tutorials and projects for the potholder loom, that I have uploaded to this blog. Just scan down the categories and click on them. For me, there is just so much joy and delight in working with spoolknitters and potholder looms. They are simple tools that are invitations to unlimited creativity and joy.
Definitely some of my favorite things!
hugs all round,
Noreen
