Some things are just so good, you want to share them.

I’ve posted about support spindles before, but I just have to list them high on my ‘Neato’ list! I love my Royale Hare, and have had it for ages. I am assuming that they still make them, because I found them on the internet, and saw them at the Knit and Crochet show a year or so ago.
I think of it as being the
world’s smallest spinning wheel.
neato? yes.
affiliations? no.

looking for a miniature spun glass spinning wheel styled to look like one used in colonial times should be no larger than 3-5″ tall
Where are the Royale Hare Support Spindles sold…do you know? I found The Woolery, but they say temorarily unavailable and also Woodland Woolworks, but they say it is on backorder. Do you know of anyone who has one NOW??? *grin* Hope you can help.
Mary
You can get them directly from Royale Hare. The lady that owns Royal Hare, her name is Karen Elmst, a very nice lady. She does her business in her home. She resides in Santa Rosa, California.
Her website address is: http://www.royalehare.com
You can also google Royale Hare and get her website.
I’m so sorry, Mary. I bought mine 15 years ago from a store that has gone out of business. When I googled to see if I could come up with anyone who had them, I drew a blank.
Hopefully someone will have them… try googling every month, to see if they pop up. There’s always eBay…. I don’t know if you’ll find one there. I am kicking myself, because a couple of years ago, I was teaching at a conference and a lady had them. I wish I had bought a second one!
Good luck… I hope that you find one!
Hi Cookie,
You’re a genius! Thank you thank you!
I absolutely LOVE my Royale Hare, and wish that I could get another one. I bought my first one 15 years ago and I regret not buying a 2nd one at the same time.
Fingers crossed that Karen is still selling them!
thanks so much!
