New Blogger with a Hankering for Yarn
Hi everyone, especially my yarn-loving comrades. I’m the new Hankering for Yarn blogger and I couldn’t be more excited than to talk every day about one of my favorite pastimes: knitting.
I’ve been knitting since 2003 — not a really long time when compared to many knitters I know, who learned as young kids. But I had a lifelong desire to learn and when I happened upon a book in the bookstore one day, I decided to take a chance and finally figure it out. It’s been quite a journey since that first day I sat with wooden needles and cheap dark blue yarn and wondered just why my knitting didn’t look like what was in the book! Somehow, I managed and I kept trying and trying until I could make projects that were useful and looked like actual knitting.
Since I feel that the more you knit, the more you learn, I’m interested to see what we learn together. I don’t believe you ever really know it all about knitting, even if you’ve been doing it for a lifetime.
Questions or comments? I love them, so don’t be shy. Let’s share our hankering for yarn together.

waou, bravo for taking over and carry on with the blog. it will be a new point of view. I knit a little (I am more a crochet girl) but I am ready to follow you in your adventure.
long life and all the best.
Hi, I just learned to knit last month, check out my blog for my first project. I have crocheted for many years, but was somehow was intimidated by knitting. I hope to learn many more stitches. As it is now, casting on and off, caused me more problems than the knitting. Looking forward to future posts from you. Thanks.
Thanks, Christine and Susan. I want to learn to crochet, so whenever I get past single chains, I’ll be sure and document it right here! Thanks for the warm welcome.
Hmmm…so what’s your name? I see that the About Me page still has the other blogger on it.
