One button short

Have you ever heard the phrase:
‘He’s a brick short of a load’ ?
Well
I am O N E button short of a coat……….
I’ve been meaning to cut up a coat that I made a few years ago and make it over.
I originally made a Vogue Issaye Myake design that looked just dreadful in this heavy wool melton…. (I had made it in lightweight melton and it was great, but the heavier stuff weighed a ton and hug like a tank. boo hiss)
So, I decided that the time had come to do something about it.
I got busy just after New Year’s and cut out the new jacket, and got it a-l-m–o-s-t finished…..
Except for that one button……. and a bit of stitching around the edges……..
I figured if I blogged about it, I could shame myself into finishing it.
I had thought about spool knitting cord to go around the edges, but thought: Get real! I can’t even make one lame little (well big ) button hole! If I waited till I got enough cord spool knitted, it would be August before it was done.
Somebody! Tell me to finish this coat!
aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

It’s a lovely coat in a beautiful color.
I also tagged you in my own special way. I can’t figure out how to put links on my blog posts. Help!!!!!
Finish that coat!
Thank you so much, DebraAnn!
Oh boy, you’re asking the wrong person about techie stuff!
On my blog there’s an icon that looks like the link of a chain or a sideways figure ‘8′…. when I click that, it allows me to make the link. I don’t know how yours does it…..
Maybe someone else can help?

I’m writing to you about it…..

B-a-c-k to working on it!

Noreen,
That coat is gorgeous. With as cold as BC is, I can’t believe you don’t have that button on yet and using it.
Have a terrific day.
Thank you so much, Rayann
) I am really pleased with my new jacket!
Actually, we are still in Alberta, which is heaps of honkin’ colder than BC!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We plan to move to BC in ‘09……
