Hankering for Yarn

Quail in the crabapple tree

Yesterday, I was working in the studio, and movement in the decorative weeping crabapple tree outside caught my eye.

I thought it was a cat…. it was cat sized……. but

OH MY WORD!  It was a quail!  She/he was just enchanting!

She sat on top of the tree, and ate the little crabapples. She looked back at me as I  tried to catch her with the camera.

When she was done, she calmly ~WALKED~  down the branch, which touches the ground. And, off she toddled.

Sorry it’s all blurry, I guess I was so too excited! shucks.

I felt so blessed by her presence.
