I held a contest on this blog, for someone to win this doll:
The person who originally won the doll didn’t respond,
so…
I held a
SECOND CHANCE contest.
To see who won, please click on:
Who Won the Second Chance Doll
At New Year’s, we so often look back and forward.
Is there something that you would love
to have a second chance at?
Write a comment on this posting, and you will have a chance to win the doll
(she’s a one of a kind doll that I designed and made for my book: Creative Crocheted Dolls)
The rules of the contest were:
1) The contest runs from now until Jan 9, 2008.
2) Leave as many comments as you would like.
3) If you win, you’ll pay the actual cost of the postage.
(We live in Canada, so it’s usually around $10)
4) I will post an entry on the 10th of January, declaring the name of the winner.
5) The winner will have until the 12th of January to contact me and arrange the adoption of the doll.
6) If the winner doesn’t contact me by the 12th, then I’ll draw again……
Best of luck,
and Happy Second Chance!

Put in a second chance for my Mom.
It is admirable that you are offering a second chance - so many of use need one!
I love your doll. But if I could have a second chance at anything, it would be to stop my brother from making a fatal mistake. I didn’t relize I had a chance, and now I never will.
I would love a second chance to hug my son as he left jan 3 to return to his army duties!
If I won a second chance at the doll, I’d hug it reminding me of him every day!
Would love to adopt this beautiful doll
I want a second “second chance.” Does that make this my third chance???

I would love to have the chance to adopt your beautiful doll….and I can think of several things I’d like to have a second chance at.

Hi Noreen! Well here is my name entered again! LOL I finally got power back! Yeah! Just had to toss all the refrigerator stuff away and replace but we are great!
hugs Karen
I can’t believe the person didn’t contact you. I hope she’s not ill or something.
Everybody needs a second chance and if I had a second chance to do something, I would have told my dad I loved him when he was in a coma. I was too upset to even say anything when I seen the man I always regarded as strong in that bad a shape. I know he knew I loved him; I know he loved me. But I do wish I would have put it into words at that time. I never did and I never had a second chance to tell him as he died the next day.
Lovely doll——my second chance wish is to help my son see the real beauty in life.
A second chance? You bet there are some things I’d like to “do over”—but mostly they are the things that were so good! The one thing I can think of that I wish I could do over and know I would do well was one of my first interviews, after leaving my last job…their loss….
I’d love to have my name in the drawing for your doll. She’s beautiful.
There are so many things that I’d love to have a second chance at. I’d probably ask to re-do the day my mom died in an automobile accident when I was 17. I’d have stayed home from work and asked her to stay with me. I’ll see her in Heaven and that will be a great day.
2nd chances are great, I got a 2nd chance at life and i am living it to the fullest, i met a great man that i married, my 2nd marriage, we beat cancer so my 2nd life begins.
2nd chances are for everyone becuase you dont always get it right the first time.
YOu do awesome work.

Wow…great doll. Everyone deserves one. I got a second chance and found a great husband who treats me with love and respect. He is my soul mate.
Second chances are the bonus’ of life. Never pass one up and always be thankful for the opportunity.
Delightfully creative, would look great in my collection. /;)

Oh how wonderful–a second chance–yes i want her!!! Kesam
This is such a fabulous doll!! You are a doll yourself for even thinking of all of us and offering this contest.
Bless you throughout this year!
It’s curious how you mention after the drawing the winner has to arrange for the adoption of the doll. I firmly believe in second chances and would love to adopt her. You see, I’m adopted as well and both parents that raised me have passed away. I was an only child and my wonderful second chance came this past year when my birthmother and I found each other. I would love give this gorgeous doll a new home.
Would love a second chance opportunity. 2008 did not begin well for us. Our car was smashed while legally parked, (along with 4 other cars). Can’t have it repaired until end of January.
Husband diagnosed with MG, an auto immune disease, that we hope to get into remission,
and there’s a third baddy, of course, bad things always come in threes.
I’m grateful that we had a pretty good 2007, at least no 4 am runs to the ER.
This doll would be in a place of honor in our home. We are grateful for each other 46 yrs married. and still very happy together.
I’d like to have a second chance at the decisions I made in my youth, using the wisdom I have in old age! And I’d like to have a 2nd chance at winning the doll. –Sandy
I know what you mean by a second chance. Not every one gets one. When my first born was born we both had a second chance, at life. Then my daughter has had a second chance in life, also. She is strong and does not give up. This doll is so beautiful, to adopt her would be to give her a second chance. She would be living in my daughters room at her bedside. Linda
Your doll is lovely. A place of honor is waiting for her in my home to remind me second chances are possible for all the goofs I have made.
Happy New Year and Thanks again for starting the 2008 on a positive note.
Sincerely
LadyWillow
Going for the second chance for my daughter…she would love the doll!
I’m so thankful for having had a second chance to see my Aunt twice in 3 months as her time on earth is getting shorter.
Hi Noreen, looking forward to NH…hope to see you! I love the doll, beautiful piece of art!
Hope you had a great new year!
Gracie
Beautiful doll. Sharon
hope I am not too late for a second chance for the second chance doll.
Last day. Good luck to the owner of this delightful piece of ART.

She is lovely. She reminds me of a beautiful fairy goddess. She also reminds me of my second chance at love. My children’s father is my first chance and even though my love chance didn’t work my children are the first blessing of my life. My second chance sweetie is the second blessing and truly my second chance. It is still the 9th here so hopefully I have a chance at a second chance.

I would love a second chance at a career. At a late stage in life I began to write poetry and so I think I should have been a ooet or writer rather than a pharmacist .While I did enjoy my work, I wonder could I have done more with my life .
