Hankering for Yarn

Snowbaby Crochet Hook

I have been really inspired by the snowman crochet hook for the  holiday contest that I made last week.

One person left a comment, asking, ‘Why couldn’t it be a snow lady, snow person or snow baby?’

Aha! I ~had~ to make a snow baby crochet hook. So, I whipped out the saws, files, sandpaper, knives, paint, varnish, spool knitter  and got to work….

I am really tickled with the snowbaby. It’s about 6 1/2 inches long, and is a size L (8 mm) and is just adorable. I spool knitted the hat, (which is glued to the head) and the loop means that the hook can be hung up, and used as a decoration.  I’ve posted it to my website.

If we have to have such a cold winter, we should at least get to invite the snowmen and snowbabies inside!
