Some recent spoolies

Jim and I have been making some really fun spoolies recently.
An email buddy from the Freeform Crochet list asked us to do a trio of Spoolies. He wanted Green Man imagery on Mighty Mamma’s and Dancing Duchesses, but we had to re-name them to reflect their more ‘manly’ nature! 
Their new name? ‘Les Hommes Fantastique’. Their new owner says that he has to approach them with an accent in homage of Inspector Clouseau. (and to be very careful of spinning globes) 
Another friend asked us to make a spoolie that reflected a huge transition that she has made in her life. So, she wanted images of Hecate, Demeter, Persephone, and a flying (not baseball) bat, a crow and a coyote:
And, another lady wanted to celebrate her special birthday with a spoolie that was an homage to the circle of life:

I love making the magical, one of a kind tools that will hopefully inspire people to create magical and fun expressions of their imaginations!

Thanks so much, Tammy! I found it really intriguing to draw, paint and burn the Green Man images. There is something so intensely energetic in the Green Man energy that I felt like I was being ‘whooshed’ along by it! Pippin, who commissioned them, had asked for them to be somewhat lighthearted, and I was concerned that they may be too fierce, as they emerged. They REALLY wanted me to do them EXACTLY as they were! It was a VERY powerful experience! whew!
About drawing: I was born drawing, according to my mom! LOL! We saw this in our daughter, too…. she was an artist from the moment she took breath.
Drawing is one of the dearest things to me, about ~being me~. I ~think~ in drawings! I actually have a hard time understanding things at times, unless I can ‘draw out’ the instructions. My husband has learned that sometimes, when he’s explaining something to me, that he just has to draw it! LOL!
