Spinning silk for summer

I think I am addicted to spinning silk.
I’m working on all kinds of projects and samples for the workshops (click) that I’ll be teaching at the Knit and Crochet show in Manchester NH this summer.
Could I resist spinning up a little silk for one of the many vests that I’ll have as inspiration in the crosscurrents workshop? ‘Course not……

I’ve got one of my vintage Lily Speed-o-weave looms set up in a really odd shape that I hope is going to work well for what I have in mind….. we shall see……….
I am certainly hoping it will!

I stumbled upon you by way of the Google Blog search, and just had to say that I’m addicted to spinning silk too! So far I’ve played with mulberry and SoySilk; wool doesn’t compare. There is something about silk I can’t put my finger on that just sets it apart from every other fiber I’ve worked with. May your silk work be as beautiful as you imagine!
Thank you so much, Abby! Yes, I agree! spinning silk is pure delight! I have been spinning up a combination silk and other things….. will have to post some pics!
