We have a wasp problem, and don’t want to use pesticides to kill them. Well, actually, we don’t really even want to kill the rotten little beasties…. they are part of the grand plan of nature, after all. We just don’t want the little stinkers to set up shop around our house, barn, hayshed, tool shed, garage or the farm machines. Is that too much to ask? LOL!
So, I designed a pattern for a fake wasp nest to trick them into to bugging off somewhere else.

My friend Bonnie, sent me a link to the site of an extraordinary artist Joana Vasconcelos.
Her work reminds me of the art nouveau decoration and sculpture of Antoni Gaudi in Barcelona. Her website is animated and a sensory feast.

Ming Yi Sung is a fiber artist who has a wonderfully offbeat sense of humor. She did a very whimsical outdoor crocheted sculpture of a life size woman engaged in a mealtime battle with a reluctant chicken.
She posted a series of photographs of the installation and unveiling of the piece, and then…. oh no!
