In September, I’ll be teaching workshops in Portland OR at the Knit and Crochet Show
One of the demo pieces that I am making for several of the classes is a red ‘Butterfly’ freeform lace shawl that combines tatting and crochet…..
as it moves along, I’ll post more pics. This is the first…..
And here’s the next set of pics: Frogging the background

Oh….one of these days I’ll learn how to tat!
I love your freeform pieces and look forward to seeing this one develop!
Hugs,
Terri
Very pretty color. I look forward to more pics!

Tatting is one thing that I think really benefits from being observed in motion. Static pictures don’t convey that magical moment when the knot jumps across from one hand to the other. So, videos are perfect for that!

Thank you so much! I am loving working on this shawl, and looking forward to seeing how it all unfolds!

the work,needs patience !!
Thank you very much for sharing.

I was feeling really frustrated with the shawl, and thinking that I was really wasting my time – but I felt like it was really close to what it was meant to be….
so, I am happy that I stuck with it and that it is feeling really ‘right’ now!
