Quick tip: Keep your cables from flaring

Here’s a quick tip to keep cabled projects from flaring out at your bound-off edge. It’s helpful for scarves, especially, because while your cast-on edge can be neat and square, sometimes the bind-off isn’t.
When you bind-off, decrease 1-2 stitches for every inch of width. So, if your project is 8 inches wide, decrease 8-16 stitches as you bind off. Try to do this at equal or close to equal intervals; just k2tog (knit 2 together) every now and then instead of just knitting one stitch, but perform the bind off the regular way.
